What was once just a plan to give the bathroom a good cleaning has morphed into a complete re-do. Half the walls had a bad case of pot-luck sheetrock screwed to the wall with a portion of fake tile wallboard along the bottom for good measure. That is now gone. The old plaster is in pretty good shape, so a skim coat of joint compound has smoothed them out. The ghost of picture rails made themselves evident, so those have been replaced. Today, paint will go on. Then the sink will be put back in place with a new vanity top, sink and faucet. Cant wait.
