What we keep trying to say is this: Jesus gave us two new commandments when he was on earth in the flesh. We are to love God and love our neighbors as we do ourselves. He said all the law and all the prophets can be summarized by these commands. He didn’t provide any exceptions to these commandments. When asked for an example of what it was to love your neighbor he told the story of The Good Samaritan, who had mercy on a fellow human being in need of help when religious types had passed by without helping.
