What we must remember is this... When citizens complain of some - TopicsExpress

What we must remember is this... When citizens complain of some county staff who are corrupted, immediate action must be initiated and investigations taken, those found guilty must be sent packing. Oaths were taken, contracts were signed…. They did so without honor. The breaking of an oath or a contract is not about a contract between the corrupt elected official or county staff and his/her conscience. It is about a contract between that person and all of us. To pretend otherwise, to blubber and wail and plead mercy for such jackals, is to spread their infection upon all the victims. We are the citizens and taxpayers. We are the victims. And those officials and staff who break oaths/contracts of office are the criminals. Some of you might not think oaths and contracts are important. Others might avoid such threatening terms as action and consequence. Mombasa County has been swimming in corruption. We’re drowning in it. The political class laughs at us. Can’t you hear it as they continue making their fortunes and putting their families and friends at the public trough to feed? It is their laughter that echoes on the Mombasa’s Indian Ocean breeze. There must be consequences for what people do, and debts must be paid for sins. Officials who broke the oath and sunk Mombasa in Billions of debts must be brought to book. You take that oath, as a Governor, as a MP, Ward Rep, or sign a contract as an employee of the county, it must mean something. It’s got to count. It’s a new era, No one will get away with breaking an oath of office or a contract. All that citizens need is to be served, period! The County executive committee (Governor, Deputy Governor and appointed County executives) must keep their staff in check down there, you are the ones who will be accountable and take full responsibility for their misconduct if you do not act.
