What would happen? IF we as a nation decided to believe the very best about the people we have elected to serve us. What if? WE told the president, the senators, the congress we just expect your very best and at times you will fail but its ok we still believe in you and our country were in this together; united as one. It is possible to believe in something, have faith in something and still fall short. What if? We as a people could see we are still the city on the hill that the rest of the world that wants freedom looks to. What if we believed that the sacrifice no matter how great was and is still worth bringing freedom to those who long for it where ever and whom ever they maybe. We as a nation as a people can still matter. We have forgotten who and what we are. We are the hope, we are the star that the tired, the poor, the hungry look to and long for. We as a nation as a people will never measure up to that ideal but we should never stop trying to do so. For as long as there is one, just one person seeking freedom we must endeavor to see him or her free. Perhaps our only purpose in this world is to be the hope, the star, the city on the hill. Aim for a star you want miss by far aim for nothing you will hit it every time.
