What you see here is an emotional connection between two individuals that love each other very much. This little girl cries because she loves her friend so much and is being forced to give him away to slaughter. I know how she feels. I remember this feeling when my parent took my dog away from me as a child (I was the same age as this little girl) and brought him to the SPCA to be destroyed. Till this day, the heartache and emotion of that experience has never left me. Animals are emotional beings...why are we so arrogant as a human society that we think we can do with them as we please. An animal-based diet is very unnecessary, and it separates and destroys families, and causes so much suffering and pain. Veganism is not far out or extreme. Veganism is all about compassion, having a heart, having common decency. Extreme is the billions of animals we systematically destroy because we simply like the way the food tastes. How utterly selfish we are as a society to inflict this suffering on the most innocent and vulnerable.
