Whats better than a hot Yong Tau Foo on these cloudy and rainy days. Yong Tau Foo is a Chinese soup dish that is mainly found in countries such as Malaysia, China, Singapore and Thailand. Yong Tau Foo was first introduced in the early 1960s in a Chinese restaurant called “Chew Kuan” where it was originally just Tofu that was stuffed with fish paste. Hence, the dish was then called “Yong Tau Foo” which means stuffed bean curd. From then on, fried fritters and many kinds of vegetables have been stuffed with various meat pastes.
