Whats even better is this bit of the article: This is not She-Thor, series writer Jason Aaron emphasized in the comics. This is not Lady Thor. This is not Thorita. This is THOR. This is the THOR of the Marvel Universe. But it’s unlike any Thor we’ve ever seen before. I really like the drawing. Given the general background of super-hero comics, I think this person and the costume shes wearing is reasonable for a female version of this character. Shes tall and fairly brawny, as would be expected for someone who throws around a Thunderbolt Hammer for a living. What I really love about the drawing is what shes wearing. It actually looks like armor. She still has bare arms, but I suppose thats par for the course. Although theres a bit of skin exposed at her stomach, theres an actual breastplate (shaped appropriately, given her build), which does NOT have a plunging neckline and what do you know, theres something to actually protect her NECK. No, it isnt historically consistent, but given the very stylized fantasy world that is Marvel, this is something that an ass-kicking martially-minded character would actually wear in public. Very nice, Marvel. Well-done. As with everything, the premise isnt whats important, its what you DO with the premise that makes something great. But this should be fun. I may go and actually pre-order a comic the next time Im near a shop.
