Your email will show them that we care about the Reef and put pressure on our leaders to make the right choice. Thanks for your support, Felicity Wishart On behalf of the Fight for the Reef team ________________________________________ Hi there, Recent reports show a rapid and shocking decline in the health of the Great Barrier Reef, and substantial new dumping of dredge spoil will only make it worse. Federal Environment Minister Greg Hunt has approved the dredging and dumping of 3 million tonnes of seabed in the waters of the Great Barrier Reef. But this dumping can’t go ahead without a permit from the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority (GBRMPA). Ive just sent an urgent email to GBRMPA asking them to do their job and not approve this destructive plan. They are due to make their decision this week, so the time for action is now!
