Whats the hype about magnesium or other vitamin/mineral supplements and why do (some) professionals give it to all of their competition horses (many/most OTTBs), even if their behavior is already perfectly fine? I was just doing some brief readings and read that some people claim magnesium is already too high because of feeds etc and the horses therefore have a calcium deficiency (the two work in an intricate balance). But my horse (if youve seen my most recent post about my misbehaving mare) seems to have all the symptoms of magnesium deficiency according to MagRestores website (back soreness, over sensitivity in general, etc). Im at a loss, and just want to learn more. Thanks for all your stories and knowledge.
