Whats with all the talk about burning jerseys? Lol. Seriously? Sounds like some of you need some Prozac lol. Why not burn your wallet with all your money and credit cards inside, instead? In the long-run, youd save FAR more money by not buying anything at all rather than buying something only to burn it. Its not as though wearing it will make YOU catch fire or hold any less meaning as to the period in which you bought it. Its rare that the star players play their entire career for a single team. Are there players that do? Absolutely, but that doesnt mean you burn a jersey lol. Eventually the value of that player to even their own team decreases over time. Hell, there will be a period (eventually, not anytime soon) that even Adrian Peterson, the very face of our franchise, will see a significant decrease in value to the team (though his market to other teams has already decreased due to age and injury) and could end up playing the final portion of his career somewhere else if he doesnt retire by the end of his contract with the Vikings. These things happen, thats sports. Besides, if you liked the player enough to buy his jersey then you should like it enough to keep it. Oh.....before anyone calls Jared Allen a traitor, ask yourself this - when was the last time your ass average 12.5 sacks per season over a 10 yr career (14.25 average as a Viking) OR helped raise money for the Wounded Warriors program OR helped build houses for veterans OR any number of the community projects he helped on. Maybe the traitor isnt Allen but rather those of you who are claiming Allen to be one.
