Whats worse than watching events unfold in #Ferguson is the sad reality that this will happen again. The life of an innocent person will be taken by an officer of the law, and again we will seethe collectively, speak out against unjustifiable violence, and be met with the same tired excuse for a perpetual state of injustice: not enough evidence, no probable cause. This will keep happening until we not only demand it stops, but we leave the state with no choice. Thats why every police officer in the country should be equipped with a body-mounted camera, one that she/he cannot turn off. No he said/she said; instead, an objective account of every interaction between police and civilians. In my mind, there is no middle ground. This is the only way we reign in state-sanctioned violence against the people theyve sworn to serve and protect.
