You may wonder why a guy like me loves to Duck hunt so much, well heres my answer. Theres something about getting up at 4:00am when its 15 degrees outside and everything is froze. Grabbing the decoys shells gun and dog getting in the Jeep meeting your buddies in the bottoms at a hole that only yall know about because papa showed us one day. Setting there in the dark hearing the wings cutting the wind over head waiting for the sun to come up over the sypress trees as I tell the boys another funny joke I just thought up. To the sound of the shotguns boom boom boom to the splash of the water when the duck hit it. Seeing your dog going and getting the ducks and you smile becuase all the hard work during the summer at the pond just paid off. To going home to clean the Ducks we killed laughing about somebody missing a Duck the dang near hit him in the head or about somebody falling in the water. The reason I love Duck Hunting so much well the answer is simple. The memories you make with life long buddies in a Duck Blind or just some Honey Hole are memories you will never forget and the stories I tell well lets just say you be laughing all morning long.. even if we didnt kill a thing.
