Whats your diagnosis/best guess? These are pictures and radiographs (x-rays) of the right front foot of a 7 year old off-the-track Thoroughbred who had a several week history of lameness. He was sore to hoof testers and an area of drainage was found in the sole/hoof wall. The foot was soaked and wrapped consistently, but the lameness didnt resolve. He was referred to NEEMSC for further evaluation and treatment. What is going on in this hoof? What is the common term for this condition? Check back tomorrow for the answer!
