When Carlos and I moved to Toronto just over a year ago, we didnt know if we were staying or what we were doing. But After being here nearly a year, we knew we loved Toronto and decided to settle (*gulp!*). This is not my modus operandi. Im more of a no-ties, keep moving kind of gal, but something about settling in Toronto as our permanent home seemed tickity boo. The next step was to call our awesome realtor, Mike Sheehy, and plant the seed. That was June. Im sure I gave Mike a few grey hairs as I was incredibly particular about what I wanted (Carlos was, too, but not nearly as fussy as I am). We must have looked at 25 places! The moment we stepped into this amazing corner condo/loft, I knew this was the one. These pictures are of the current owners furniture, but you can see how open and airy it is. It had everything we (I) wanted in a place and it was also in our price range. We put an offer on it a few weeks back, went through negotiations, passed through all of our conditions and now can finally announce that we GOT IT!!!! Well be taking possession on February 16, 2015. Im overjoyed! The new neighbourhood (part of my checklist was central, walkable, interesting, close to shops and grocery and restaurants) is St. Lawrence Market, which I love! The building itself is award winning and occupied by mostly owners (so they want to protect their investment). Im super pumped...and a little freaked out. I cant believe it!
