“When East Meets West: Lets Converge, anyone?” “Modern technology is really awesome! It has made the world smaller especially for people like me to be to explore other worlds which in my younger years were just part of my imagination. Having been raised in a family that is economically deprive, I would often hear of other worlds that existed but it was always confined to movies if not in the portals of my classrooms. We would learn about western civilizations from our professors of learn about it through vicarious means but I would always yearn for the day to come that I would have the chance to share my world in exchange of getting to know better other worlds which exist beyond my own. This is why I call it when east meets west. With modern technology, I have the capacity to share my world now and others can share theirs too. On a personal note, I am a very simple person with very humble beginnings. However, I would like to widen my horizon without necessarily compromising my ideals and values in life. My primary objective for this is to gain more knowledge for as the line goes…”knowledge is power.” This is the best wealth one cold have in life. My education and search for more knowledge have liberated me from the lack better of ignorance and poverty. Perhaps along the way too, as we get to know each other, despite belongs to two divergent cultures but, we could always build a relationship and converge based on the principle called friendship. After all, I firmly believe that life should be about sharing and friendship, regardless of the fact if you are from the east or the west.
