When I discovered that I was pregnant, I was the happiest woman out there. I always caress my belly and thank God everyday for giving me this angel that I am excited to meet. During my pregnancy, My husband and I were faced with series of hardships. From the possibility of being an ectopic to the dilemma of miscarriage, not to mention the event of bleeding despite all the extra care. We surpassed all of it with the grace of God. Miracles really exist. Eventually, our little miracle was born. From that moment you came out to this world, I loved you. I was forever changed by your beautiful smile. Your cute little fingers and toes, your beautiful eyes, even when I hear your cry takes all the hardship and pain go away. Everything about you is perfect! Even getting up in the middle of the night to change your diapers and feed you gives me much fondness. I love those calm moments at night when you were wrapped around my arms, humming the lullabies while I waltz you back to sleep. Now, a year has flown by. It was as fast as the blink of an eye! I look back on those times when I was just sitting back in wonder as I watch your sleep, play, and in time, catch up with the world around you. Every day, you do something new and it simply amaze me. My wish for you on your birthday is to stay as strong as you are now. Even as an infant, you always wanted to do things on your own. I wonder what you will be when you grow up, a doctor? A lawyer? I realize above anything else, I want you to be happy. I want you to be fulfilled in whatever it is that you decide to take on. I want you to have faith in Him. I hope you surround yourself with people who will love you for who you are, and I hope you love them for who they are in return. There is absolutely nothing you could do in this entire world that would make me stop loving you, even for a second! I hope you always remember that, especially in the hard times. For now, I hope you keep that sparkle that is you, and I will continue thanking God every single day for sending me such a precious gift.
