When I first saw Zees superb new channel Zindagi with such well-made Pakistani shows, I thought: THIS is what we set out to do with `Baawre! We wanted no over-the-top TV drama, rich dialogues, and a simple narrative. Thank you to our co-producers Sudhir Sharma and Seema Sawhney Sharma and our writing team Ayush Tiwari Samrat Chakraborty Mohammed Adeel for helping create that ... I dont know honestly if we will succeed or fail eventually. But the audience reaction to present and future shows like Baawre and the channel Zindagi will decide whether the effort to do good healthy TV content in India will thrive or we will still do the same thing.
