When I first viewed this video today, I could hardly control my emotions. My mind began racing through the years reflecting on the various events, beginning with the moment I laid my eyes on this little person for the first time. I actually re-lived the moment the nurse brought her to me to get acquainted. I wasnt sure what I should do, I wasnt even sure that I had the skills necessary to hold her properly. I saw a little face with a head of thick black hair, well pronounced eyebrows, inquisitive eyes, ten fingers and ten toes, felt a strong heart beat, she showed off lungs that could shake walls and most importantly she was healthy and she was mine. My first born! Landi, known to us, LaLa James to others. We have done much together through the years. Weve laughed, cried, sung, played, traveled, worked, planned, strategized, executed, advised, encouraged, prayed, and supported each other. Weve watched with admiration, her growth from this little 7lb 13 oz innocence to now a beautiful mother, wife and a career woman. We recall the day we were able to build up the nerve to let her out of our house and take abode in a strange place to pursue her undergraduate education. We remember all too well, the day came for us to leave our heart in Atlanta, Georgia to attend school. Hilma Griffin-Watson, I felt every word you wrote when you left Callum behind to attend school. Not knowing the future, but trusting God, right there at the gate in that airport terminal (this was prior to 9/11 when anyone not traveling could go to the gate) we knelt in prayer seeking Gods guidance and protection for Landi. With broken voices, aching hearts, and enough tears that would need a mop to dry the floor, we reached out to God to never leave her side, to help her with her decisions and to keep our family ever close to Him. So, today the launching of this awesome video is not only a proud moment of Landis successes, but it the loudest shouts of praise to our God! He is awesome, He deserves the praise and we are grateful! Landi has been blessing people all through her years of existence whether through her music, her work, her laughter, her smile, and her personality and The Lord just keep on opening more and more doors for her to exalt Him. The little old man, whom we didnt know, who sat across from us in that airport terminal and watched us as we prayed, holding on to each other and crying, was so moved and blessed that he could not hold back his tears either and expressed how he had never seen such love displayed yet. Landis blessings on others in that part of the world began that day, right there. We (Roy, April and myself) boarded that plane to return home with heavy hearts, and looking down as we flew over that vast land didnt make it any easier on us. Somewhere down there was our little girl. We sat next to each other, wiping away tears, speechless - not a word was uttered by any of us, nor did we eat or drink anything for that long three plus hours flight. God is merciful. He is faithful. He saw our sacrifices and He has blessed and is still blessing. We give Him all the praise, all the honor and all the glory! Congratulations Landi! We love you! Your journey is continuing. Let the words you speak be words of good. Choose to do whats right always. Ephesians 4:29 says Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers
