When I heard that All Is Lost was basically just 90 minutes of Robert Redford floating in a lifeboat out in the middle of the ocean and trying not to die, I had my doubts. But it actually turned out to be a pretty good film. Redford is not aging gracefully but hes definitely a better actor now than he was back in the 70s and 80s. Hes a bit like Peter Fonda in that age has given him a certain gravitas that he previously did not possess. Now, I just need to see Anchorman 2, Wolf of Wall Street, American Hustle, 12 Years A Slave, Catching Fire, Dallas Buyers Club, Nebraska, August: Osage County, and The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, and I will have pretty much seen everything that I need to see for 2013.
