When I learned to drive, the only collision-avoidance technology - TopicsExpress

When I learned to drive, the only collision-avoidance technology we had or needed was 2 eyes and a brain, neither of which are being used much on the road today. Now all this crap is added to a car to protect us from our dumbass selves. Do you need a flashing dash light that says BRAKE!? If you do, maybe you shouldnt be behind the wheel at all. If people would get the hell off their damned phones and pay attention to their driving, none of this stuff would be needed. What Id really like to have on a vehicle is a high-power laser beam to eliminate the problems right at the source, or as Barney Fife used to say, Nip it, nip it, nip it!
