When I look back on my own life ... I see it is a miracle I am still alive ... so many times I could have died or given up on me and life and everything, yet the Hand of God was on me and my life was spared and God gave me courage to do what seemed impossible ... already as a child my life was touched by illness and accidents and my life was spared every time ... and I was healed every time ... I was raised in the country close to nature in Finland living off the land and started out in a very small country elementary school where I walked 4 km to school even in -30 Celsius weather in snow blizzards ... I loved school ... not raised in a big city ... I live in a big city now and still love school and go to university ... and dream of living out in the country again ... I was removed from my own culture, family and brought to a new land with different language, culture and a lot of different people ... yet I learned the language, the cultrue and I learned to thrive among people who were not my family ... today I love my people and I love all people and I love the richness of cultures and languages and the richness of human experience ... so many times I was told by teachers that I could not do something because English was not my first language, yet in my heart I knew I could succeed ... I succeeded every time and became the best ... so often I had to be twice as good as a Canadian to be accepted and to be hired ... I was told I could never work in law because English was my second language ... I succeeded graduated at the top of the class and received a scholarship for one of the highest grades in the history of the college and become one of the best in my field ... a nursing instructor told me I should not be a nurse because I did not speak English well enough and was not she expected a nurse to be ... I work in nursing today and my patients love me because I have a heart that cares and I value kind care ... Love is action and does not need words to be experienced ... I studied early childhood care and education and a college instructor told me I would not graduate ... I transferred to a different university and a few years later that college hired me to work for them in early childhood care and education ... I wanted to work at the university and applied with no interviews ... and then signed up with a temporary placement agency and I was sent to the university in my first assignment and ended up in the top job assisting the dean ... I see that every time someone tried to stop me from the living the Dreams in my heart, God found a way to put the correct people in the correct places and then opened the correct doors for me ... God is so Good to me ... every time someone tries to stop me, God finds the Way to get me where God wants me to be ... I love Life and Life Loves Me and I feel grateful for everything in my life today. I feel truly blessed for every opportunity and every wonderful lesson in life and for every wonderful person I have met along the way ... Today everything is great in my life ... it probably means that I will be stepping out of my comfort zone again soon ... I will go because God is with me every step of the way ...
