When I met Governor Jindal a few months ago, he spoke at length with me about his Indian American heritage and how his parents culture has moulded him to be the man that he is today. Nevertheless, he also exercises great restraint from playing the identity card by focusing on issues that have broad public consensus and significance. At the end of our almost 10 minute conversation, I told Governor Jindal, I hope you run for President to which he responded, Youre too kind! I still hope he runs for President as he has a lot to offer with his vast work experience, policy expertise and unique background.
