When I read my friend Karina Heneghans beautiful article about why she went to India and what happened to her there, tears of empathy streamed down my face. Her stunning photographs and descriptions of joy in the midst of chaos and the transformation they sparked in her make up our new BPJ photo essay: Last year, I took a two-month solo trip to India. There were many reasons for taking this journey, but the most important one of all was the one dictated by my higher self. I heard a very loud whisper in my heart that told me it was time for me to go… I feel honored to share this testament to the visible and invisible power and beauty of India on Blue Planet Journal, and with all of you-- I feel that, in a sense, it is my story too, and the story of millions of seekers who have answered the call of Mother India inside them.
