When I returned to Ottawa in 2002 I made a point of attending the Wednesday night open stages at Rasputins, as well as doing shows there when I could. It was a joy to play and hear others play there, a rare gem in live venues, where you could quietly take in the subtleties of a performance, and the likelihood of a transcendental musical experience was high. The Spirit of Rasputins has carried the torch since Rasputins closed, and now it is my great privilege to perform as part of the series, in the acoustically perfect Westboro Masonic Temple. I will be joined by some other musicians on different songs, TBA as the show approaches, but so far including Phil Charbonneau on stand-up bass, and Birdie Whyte on Banjo, Please spread the word about this show, it will be an evening to remember. Thank you!
