When I see a magazine profile of a well-known entertainment figure, I expect something that is going to be news-managed and committee-edited to within an inch of its life. Or sometimes beyond that, meaning: high glossy and completely worthless. Journalistically dead. Thats what I normally expect. Unexpected: a profile of Jon Stewart in Hollywood Reporter magazine that is engaging, serious, and a big fat value add. Tied to a movie he wrote and directed about a deadly serious subject. I recommend it.
