When I see things like this I feel a little weird about things. I know that for my brothers photography setup, he has spent $5000 on gear and classes total. He buys a couple new things every year, usually costing under $500. But I spend upwards of $500 per costume and I make 6-8 per year. So I think photography is expensive to set up, but costs less in the long run. I think its ridiculous for photographers to say that their work costs more. If you ask to shoot me, Im not paying you. Youre asking for my time and my experience. You cant expect someone to pay you if you approach them first.
