When I signed up on FB a year and a half ago, I started with 75 friends and said, no more than 100. Well, I am now close to 150, and have turned many people down, because I didnt even think we were close enough to carry on a conversation. However, I am estimating that only about 10 of those friends regularly post anything. About 10 more post something every once in a while, a few post something every 4-6 months, and the rest NEVER post anything! Why are they even on FB? Are they gossips stalkers, only reading the news of other people, but never telling thier own? Other than posting obscenities, there are no rules for FB, but the general idea is give and take, contribute stories that people will enjoy or learn from, public service announcements, educational posts, and my favorite, personal stories and events. In a busy world, where most women work, come home, cook dinner, help kids with homework, squeeze in a short time of hobbies, reading, TV, or spending time with your spouse, FB is a good way to stay in touch with your secondary family, and friends you dont see that often. But if they never post anything, thats not possible. The reason Im writing this is, morning after morning, I get up and go on FB, and 98 per cent of the posts that I see are, political posts, current events of famous people, and ads. Very few posts of friends and family. I would like to see 98 per cent friends and 2 per cent other! So, if you are still reading this, and care at all about this situation, please send me a picture of your pet. If you dont have a pet, just send a simple hello to let me know you still exist!?
