When I started watching every game of the Kansas City Royals in April I never dreamed I would be about to watch the last game of the season with the Royals in the position to win the World Series. It was amazing to watch their ups and downs through the season. To me they didnt look like a championship team but that is because I had a naive expectation of what a championship team should look like. A championship team should win every game and that by a margin of at least 10 runs. They should never have a losing streak. Their pitchers should never get hit and when they do the ball should land effortlessly in the glove of the nearest fielder. But thats not baseball. I learned this year that a winning team is built on overcoming failures, because baseball players fail more times than they succeed. Thank you Royals for teaching me this lesson this year. LETS GO ROYALS!
