When I think of the United States, I think mostly of the trip I took from Boston to Austin at the beginning of 2013. I drove here, over the course of seven days, and in that time, I saw parts of this beautiful, strange country that I will never forget. I loved the forests of North Carolina, the mountains of Appalachia, and the big Texas sky. There are a lot of things about this country that are flawed and sometimes harmful, but I am proud and incredibly lucky to be a part of the United States of America.
