When I was 17 I discovered the first lump in my right breast I waited a year because I was scared ( stupid right) then the second one came up . It turned out that although they were showing on the surface in two places they were growing through from the opposite side of the breast . Surgery later and one very annoyed surgeon ripping into me for not coming earlier telling me had the lumps been cancerous he could not have saved me. My angel of a mother in law June Wade was not so lucky and died as a result of cancer striking again having got over a double mastectomy . I would like to point out though that I get my hubby and son to check their pecs for lumps if it in the family then it can strike both men and women .
