When I was a kid, I watched Pride of the Yankees, and I thought it - TopicsExpress

When I was a kid, I watched Pride of the Yankees, and I thought it was very sad. But as a teenager, I watched Hotel Rwanda and I was appalled to think that the world turned a blind eye to such horrors. So when my friend Chris Engbretson challenged me to do the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, I decided that while I would donate to ALS research, I also wanted to challenge my friends to help confront the specter of genocide in our own times. We see sad stories on the news and we say Never again but what do we really do to make that happen? With that in mind, I challenge Mary Sims Johnson, Marian Hill, and Blake Applegate to donate towards relief for Christians and other religious minorities in Iraq & Syria... or ALS research, if thats your preference.
