When I was a little boy (yes, that was too long ago), I was fond - TopicsExpress

When I was a little boy (yes, that was too long ago), I was fond of going to Atlas Mining in Lutopan. Well, probably, it’s because of the enjoyable facilities in the place like the swimming pool and the sport amenities. Possibly too due to my cousins in there who are as playful and as adventurer like me. During one of my travel to the said place, I was accompanied by a man who works with the mining company. This man is mean looking, a typical villain character in any action film. Yet this man offered his shoulder to sleep on when I felt sleepy on our bus ride. Yes, I was still on my tender age then, but I can clearly and vividly recall the good gesture. On the year 2008, I was on the verged of collapse when I tried to build a house with practically ….. “no budget”. This villain appeared acting as if to tie me with a lasso and drag me around town. But I was wrong since this man instead offered to render free electrical and lighting works on my tightly budgeted house construction. A week ago, I went to his place. He was really not the reason why I went there, but since I am in his jurisdiction, I just drop-by to exchange some pleasantries. This villain surprised me once again when he gave me – of all things – a pack full of chocolates. Feeling girly, I accepted it with a sheepish smile. In the back of mind, I wonder how this Gringo can be as sweet as the chocolate he gave. Today, he passed away and peacefully joins his creator. I am devastated. I am heart broken. I was not able to return back the kindness that he gave me. It might be too late but just the same I will say: “THANK YOU UNCLE ARTHUR FOR THE COUNTLESS GOOD DEEDS THAT YOUVE SHOWN ME”. You made your marked here in this mortal world, now have a good rest. GOOD BYE UNCLE ARTHUR you will forever be missed.
