When I was at the restaurant yesterday and made that goofy video...There was a family in there. A father about 25 years old, his parents and the sweetest, cutest Lil princess in her best Sunday dress. Grandpa was lovin all over her but at one point...Daddy grabbed her and yanked her little arm to get her out of the walk way. For years people have trained their horses with abuse, control, yelling, scare tactics...probably the same way they raised their human children. Its a brave new world folks and I have to say...I have never spanked or even raised my voice at either of my children and they are both wonderful! They love me, respect me, know when they have crossed the line just as my horses do. A person does not have to hurt to teach. I dont care how hard you beat a horse...you will never earn their trust, love or respect. You will only teach fear. If you want the ultimate bond...learn to communicate in a gentle, more patient way and the rewards you will receive will be beyond your comprehension!
