When I was in grade school, the doomsayers were predicting a new Ice Age and telling us that the big threat to mankind was global cooling. Apparently the funding paradigm shifted and a new villain was needed to scare the villagers with. Global Cooling arose as the next terrifying ogre that will Cause The End Of Mankind. Theres always something...Meteors, AIDS, GMOs, bedbugs, Ebola and dandruff...its a wonderment we dont all take 9 pills a day just to chase the worry out of our minds...oh wait...we do, and some multinational corporations make oodles of money from our falsely held terrors.
