When I was in primary school, I was bullied by my friends for being different (i.e the nutcase I still am to this day) which caused some psychological damage. When my sister passed away one of these old friends sent me a touching card in the mail apologising for the way she treated me back then and sending me her condolences. Here is some of the following correspondence as the letter itself is personal. It was a long time ago now but when we were little I was a coward and nervous to fit in (at that age conforming seems so important), I didnt stick up for you when I should have- to this day I cant believe that I was such a dick. Its only when you grow up a bit that you realise the people who are a bit different are always the most awesome, and that putting others down is the worst path to making yourself feel better This was one of the most heartfelt letters I had ever recieved, It almost made everything I had been through worth it, for not only has it made me who I am today, It also made her a better person.
