When I was in retail training, serving the luxe brands clients, I used to frequent the stores and spend like an average of 2 hours there. Ive tried on the shoes, carried the handbags, and breathed in a few liters of different types of pure skin or leather or cuir or cuiou each time. From Saffiano, Napa, Veau, Cowhide, etc. We could tell the different types of leather/skin by examining the pores and textures, and the difference between a genuine and faux. And we had a leather swatches that we used as a bible. So much so that I have developed an allergy towards the smell of leather. And it certainly dint make me feel high at all. And the job has taken my time away from my kids. Eventually, I left the industry. After all, I have concluded that the best and most priceless accessories a woman can carry are her kids. Even if you have an array of expensive handbags, in the end of the day, whos there to hold your hands when your grow old? Mr. Prada? Mr. Chanel? And for me, no smell beats the masam-manis smell of my kiddos. Not even the smell of a Kelly Bag.
