When I was little, I would ride in the front seat of my dads car. - TopicsExpress

When I was little, I would ride in the front seat of my dads car. Leather seats felt smooth and smelled sweet. My dad loves music and would always have something playing, whether it be The Police, Talking Heads (official), or the random stint he fell in love with the The Last of The Mohicans soundtrack. One tape he loved playing was The Rolling Stones. I recall one time we were out for a ride and You Cant Always Get What You Want came on. And in a very pointed way he said, You hear this song? Listen to the lyrics. He was half joking and half serious, but clearly wishing to impart knowledge to his young sons rapidly imprinting mind. I can still say that to this day, the song conjures sweet memories of a powerful life lesson and when it comes on, I feel quite peaceful. Regardless of the challenges I may be facing or the feats I may succeed, the angelic chorus reminds me that If you try sometimes, you just might find, you get what you need. So I ask all of my friends: You hear this song? Listen to the lyrics. https://youtube/watch?v=j7leQB_Oe_k
