When I was living in Orlando in 2011 I had a break-down, and during it my lease ran out and a dispute with the property managers made it really hard to find a place to live. I ended up crashing at the place of this girl I just started dating but was MADLY in love with...only, there was a ticking clock to that arrangement as she was moving to Chicago in July. The night she moved, we packed all of her stuff into the van, I lied to her that I found a new place to stay, then we kissed, said our I love yous and she drove off to Chicago while I just walked to my car and slept in that parking lot. I would end up spending the bulk of the next two months doing that. The next morning, I drove to the furthest movie theater I could think of and chose the worst possible movie to match how I was feeling about myself (Transformer 2) while texting her the whole time about how awful it was. This was during the last year of the space shuttle program, and throughout that final year I dedicated myself to seeing every launch. That day after she left was the day of the last-ever shuttle launch, so I made the plan to watch the movie, and by the time I got of the movie out I could just walk outside, face Eastward and watch the launch. But I went outside and the sky was so overcast that I found myself just staring at a wall of gray for 10 minutes before giving up. Frustrated, I then drove out of the parking lot to an intersection and realized, that without a home, I had no clue which way to turn.
