When I was younger, my dream was to be happy. I didnt always know what I would be doing for a living, where I wanted to live, whether Id be married or have children, or how Id spend my free time. I only knew I wanted those things to come out of a happy me - and to fuel continued happiness. As Ive grown older, Ive learned that hard times happen, hearts get broken, loved ones become ill, opportunities fall through, and people will let you down. But you can always choose the path (and every path requires work, your participation, and plenty of faith) that leads back to the happy you. Ive learned not make decisions based on what others might think - or even speculate on. Its an interesting time in my life... but tonight, so clearly, I could see the similarities to my parents journey to be together & the beginning of their family paralleling some of my recent experience. And because I know their whole story, having sadly lost them not so long ago, I know their difficult path lead to beautiful happiness. So, thanks mom & dad for reaching into my heart and whispering your presence. It put such a huge smile on my face and it gave me a real hope & excitement for the future. #livelearnlove
