When I write a book I take a journal that I keep for book background, character development, historical timelines, and research and paste pictures of the characters on the pages dedicated for each particular book. I get the pictures from magazines and catalogs. The pictures are people of all ages and animals that these people may have. It helps with descriptions of characters as well as to remember if they have a dog, cat, horse or other interests. I write the names of each pet, child, parent, and others who have interaction with the character.
