“When Israel was a child, I loved him, and out of Egypt I called my son. (Hosea 11:1 NIV) Okay, you might read this verse as I did and just skip right through without catching the powerful nugget thats written in it. This is actually a prophesy about Jesus. Thats right. After Jesus was born there were Magi who followed a star in order to worship the new born King. Well, the existing King (Herod) was infuriated that a new King might be coming so he set out to kill Jesus. Only problem with that plan was that God was on the opposite team and He sent an angel to tell Joseph to take Mary and Jesus and flee to Egypt until King Herod was dead and thats exactly what they did. So, it is Gods perfect plan that made every prophesy about Jesus including the fact that He was born of a virgin, born in a manger, born in Bethlehem and yes even called out of Egypt. May I submit to you that only a blind person who has decided to wear a mask of stubbornness and a jacket of denial can look at all the facts and yet still deny that Jesus is Immanuel (God with us) our Savior and our King.
