When Jonah went to Tarshish instead of Nineveh, he wasnt running - TopicsExpress

When Jonah went to Tarshish instead of Nineveh, he wasnt running from the presence of God. Gods presence is everywhere. He was running from success. Reading through chapters 1, 2, and getting to 3 reveals that after Jonah obeyed the Lord, SUCCESS, PROVISION, and FREEDOM was awaiting him. If you get the STRUGGLE out of mind, you will see there is SUCCESS after every word released from the mouth of God. Jonah didnt have to go through the storm, but He did have to get to Nineveh. You dont have to go through the storms you go through, but you do have to fulfill your assignment for the storms to cease. Some of you are going through storms right now because you are refusing to say, THROW ME OVERBOARD! Youve just gotten comfortable in a life full of storms. Just like Jonah went to sleep during the storm that was meant to get him on track, you have gone to sleep through yours and said Jesus take the wheel. Jesus isnt taking any wheel, youre going to have to fulfill what God sent you through your mothers womb to do. Success, Peace, Rest, and Relaxation awaits you there. There is so much more we are going to deal with in this new teaching series at The Kingdom Center - Shreveport/Bossier THROW ME OVERBOARD. See you at 1:30 7420 St. Vincent Ave.
