When Narendra Modi starts his second campaign for the top job, - TopicsExpress

When Narendra Modi starts his second campaign for the top job, China GDP will approach $24 trillion up from $5.7 trillion in 2010, while, the size of Indian economy will be approximately two and half times smaller than that of China. I found only one similarity between. Indians and Chinese. They both criticize US government, and at the same time they love US dollars and want to live and work in the US. Now let us look at the differences which make Chinese succeed and India lag behind. 1. Indias political leadership across political spectrum uses warmth of reception in in the US to generate heat and light of publicity back home. Chinese leaders think , Bhaand me jaaye America..ham kisi se kam naheen.. They also think that it is waste of time giving one hour speech in a foreign country to a motley group of expatriates . The Chinese prefer giving talk to the students of top universities such as Harvard and MIT where students can use these speeches as a source for their term-papers or academic essays and meet only those expatriates who have established firm reputation in their respective fields in their adopted countries and who can serve as channels of political good will, economic benefit or cultural and intellectual collaboration. 2. Indians waste their time on FB, writing panegyric about Modi, attacking and abusing those who analyse political problems of the day and refuse to sing Modi Bhajan. Chinese do not have FB and they do not channelize their time, energy and intellect on their sns in counter-productive pursuits such as coining new words Khujliwall, Barkha Futt, Khan-grace (it is my invention) and spreading vicious rumoiurs about Muslims. 3. Chinese write correct Chinese and they are not Trishanku like most Indians who feel compelled to switch to English-learning before they mastered how to write flawlessly and fluently in their own mother-tongue. The Chinese, therefore, communicate well amongst themselves and they form better sense of cohesion. 4. Chinese do not spend money on chandan, tika, doodh-dahi, laddu-jalebi for their Gods. When the ordinary Chinese have their day off, they go to temple with their children, light incense, laugh and have fun..They spend their national resources on people and not on Gods, goddesses, cows, monkeys, 5. Chinese are not cowards, inhibited and intimidated by even black cat crossing the road or grah and nakshatra. if they want to go somewhere or do something, they do not need, coconut and a Brahman.Nor do they need to please any panda and Pandit by giving thousands of rupees to them and making their bellies bloat. In China people help social and educational causes and hardly do they patronize religious causes 6. Chinese girls freely frolic on the street, without any fear of eve-teasing, although some rural Chinese who flock to cities pass comments such as She is a bit fat and the girl would comment back rural pumpkin/country bumpkin. Unlike India the man would grin and not threaten the girl of dire consequences or inundate her with vulgar abuse.. 7. Chinese educational institutions maintain some standard and one can not find any tertiary educational institution whose teachers and students are as blank in their brain as the clean blackboard. Unlike some Indian college students, Chinese students do not go to college for cheap fun and frolic or show off their imported clothes.Several Chinese universities are recognized as internationally competitive and are ranked within top 100 in the world . 8. China does not have religious leaders as Sankaracharya and Asok Singhal who wish to turn the cultural clock of India to the medieval times.and want people to believe in the retrogressive rules of heredity-based hierarchy or in the notion of racial purity. 9. China does not consider any inherited wisdom as sacrosanct . Way back in 1919 Chinas cultural leaders forcefully argued that their cultural heritage and the so-called words of the sages are harmful to the nation..They shouted Down with Confucius and Sons. Chinese love sharp, dispassionate analysis of their culture and do not get angry at such books as Ugly Chinese.. 10. In China women are more equal than men. When both men and women return from work, men cook and wash clothes and allow women to take rest and watch TV, because men believe that women are weaker than men and they should be pampered and adored.
