When Two Hearts , Beat As One :............................there are days that seem to make us just not want to not get up , we just want to lay there in that bed and keep the blinds closed , because once you do get up and walk over and pull open the blinds it just another day , another day , of maybe a repeat of yesterday , waking up walking to the bathroom , run the water wash your face brush your teeth , and struggle down stairs maybe set the coffee up and back upstairs to get dressed , and as you do , you begin to dread the thought wow another day a day to have to walk out there in the concrete jungle , Lord knows what kind of thing might jump out at you , as you sit there eating maybe some toast a light morning meal and you might have just enough time to read the first front page of the news and there it is , printed in bold letters war some wheres , or a write up real short but bold written a murder took place some wheres in the city and you whisper my God what a pity , and then you jump and walk off leading to the door and you yell see you when I get home honey , and out the door you go , in the concrete jungle , as you drive , you see the signs , a sign saying do this or do that , turn this way or that way , you notice a man standing on the corner , with a sign saying willing to work for food and you say , wow , so sad , because here you are off to work a job you really do not like and really care for but , it pays the bills , and keeps you employed , keeps you from doing what that man is doing standing there holding a sign asking willing to work for food , and then you reach the stop light it seems to be red for a long time , and then you drift off in the mind for a few seconds , and as it goes off on its day time flight you hear a voice and feel something like that of a second heart beat , pumping right next to yours , and you say huh , how can this beat two hearts , I can feel one pumping stronger then my own heart and you begin to question in the mind and then it questions you back and say how odd , and then the voice with in says , how bless thou art , you have two eyes to see , and two hands to grasp , and two feet to allow you to walk , and a belly that is forever full , and a home in which one can come back to , to find comfort , and it says why does thou find it such a dreadful thing to want to get up in the morning , and not smile and be happy knowing that each day is such a blessing unto one , for one to jump up and quickly open the window blinds and let the rays of the sun fall on thee , for have you not seen the things that your God has allowed you to see , the things that others unfortunately , have not , nor were not allowed to view as you are this day , wake up and let me lead you from this point , and I shall lead you to such better things for with me your guaranteed , to get to work and make it back home again , and with me , your going to see a better day , because this day while I am with in you , it will be a day filled with such praise , and giving great thanks , and then there was car horn blowing , and then the voice was gone and the light turned green and off he went , with a smile and a new thought , and with a second heart , a beat to follow along with during the day , a day with in the concrete jungle , by Mark Grosse ........................................................................................................................................................1 Thessalonians 5:18.............................King James Bible In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
