When a small group of flight attendants decide to stick their - TopicsExpress

When a small group of flight attendants decide to stick their necks out for what they feel is for the betterment of an entire group, it does leave us open to ridicule and criticism. It’s ok. We have thick skin and strong backs. We don’t want to discourage the nay-sayers. We want to encourage open and honest debate and communication. As long as the facts are right. Making sure the information you read about us is correct is why we created Friday’s FAACT or Fiction. In the last two weeks there has been a plethora of information released both by us and about us. Please read our biographies on our website, wpfaa.ca . We have maintained from the beginning that we are interested in achieving a collectively bargained agreement for the flight attendants while maintaining a professional and friendly working relationship with management and the executive. We want WestJet to continue to thrive as a company. To quote the article in this month’s Alberta Venture Magazine, “We want WestJet to continue being the airline that guests want to fly with, that employees want to work for and that investors want to invest in.” A passionate group of flight attendants, that gets larger every day, started your WPFAA and will help bring certainty and accountability to our department with a CBA. Accuse us of being passionate, and of seeking growth and maturity as a department. of those things we are guilty and proudly profess as such. Our endorsements from the AFA at Alaska Airlines and the PPWC local 9 along with that of the CCU (Confederation of Canadian Unions) are great indicators of the support our concept and organization has garnered. The greatest show of support has been from our members. Every day that we go to the mailbox and see another card or 5 there waiting for us, our support grows stronger. We are supported by flight attendants, and it’s flight attendant support that matters most to us. If you have any questions or comments about todays post please visit our forum. You will find this under Fridays FAACT or Fiction and under the heading September 26 - Moving forward, up the high road
