When an economist says ‘The Central Bank should raise interest rates’ the general population often mistakenly believes the recommendation is purely coming from the science of economics. It is not. Moreover the ‘should’ is almost always a moral ‘should’. When economists make such a recommendation, they, sometimes unconsciously, have taken off their social scientific hat. PS Im trying to draw attention to the whole article, not just the libertarian section, but for some reason that is what is showing up in the preview.
