When ever I listen to the Cocteau Twins record Heaven or Las Vegas, I am always transported back to where I was 12 years ago. Living on Gordon and Sunset, in a nice studio that had lavender painted walls and pale hardwood floors. I was working 2.5 jobs, I think I was pulling in close to 60 hours a week trying to make my ends meet at these garbage retail jobs. I would have wine time with Nancy Katniss Kerrigan and Jenny Deming, or go over to Natasha Kendrick to watch 24 ( yes... A time period I watched tv) or go out dancing at Clockwork Orange with Gloria Esmeralda Espinoza and Monique Renee. But there was always my little studio, tucked away from Sunset blvd, and my records and my thoughts. This little solo Capricorn Southern Gal made good friends at that time, mostly Scorpios, and I miss them all. Yall are too far away now.
