When handlers at a zoo in Johannesburg noticed that one of their main lions seemed a little bored, they decided to find him a toy. But what they didnât plan on is the lion taking his âplaytimeâ to the next level! After throwing a soccer ball into the lion enclosure, zoo handlers were amazed to find just how good their resident lion was at playing soccer! As soon as the ball is thrown inside, the lion just canât help but toss it back and forth and chase it wherever it goes, even if that means he chases it right into the water! Iâve seen cats play with toys before, but Iâve never seen one so engrossed like this lion! It must inspire some of his natural hunting skills that he doesnât get to work out too much being in the zoo.
