When in Goa next visit Starlight, a small hole in the wall restaurant in Arpora. The best Karwari fish curry and fish fry youll get anywhere. Karwar is 2 hours drive from Goa and has its own local cuisine. Try the Bangda (mackerel) Rechado and the traditional kingfish rawa fry below. Then wake up (if you can) at 4.30 am like I did and go down to Baga beach for the catch of the day! I cam back with lepas and kudgeri- two fish you wont find in a market anywhere else. Do you know the English names for these two fish?
