For a decade or two now, when I ask this question with the brighter high school and college students, it is almost 95% to 98% including Catholics could not give the correct answer. It is now announced in a presidential release that the next new years day for the Chinese will be for the third time early in the next year 2014 a national holiday in the Philippines. It started last year in 2012 as a national holiday. It is now known that today Sunday November 3, 2013 is a new years day in india (Fb Aji Garbanzos). Also, tomorrow Monday November 4, 2013 will be the start of a new years day for the Muslims. Under some presidential and regional release, the isLamic New Years Day will be observe as a holiday in some places in Mindanao to incLude in iLigan City. Many know that some other countries, Like israel, (Jewish).,etc., do celebrate their own New Years day. The next new years day for Catholics, also called the New Liturgical Year will start on the First Sunday of Advent and (for year 2014) will fall this Sunday December 1, 2013 and be using a guide under Sunday Cycle A and Weekday Year II.
